@miriamgold - we don't know each other, but the person we have in common gave me a copy of your book. It is breathtaking. The story of your grandmother is so beautifully told I finished the book feeling that I too had known your grandmother all my life. It made me laugh & moved me to tears. I was left almost bereft when it ended, yet so happy to have been introduced to such an extraordinary person. And it is so imaginatively, evocatively illustrated every page is a visual treat. Thank you so much for sharing Elena's life with us. She would be so proud of the legacy she left you & how you've used it. May she go on to enchant many, many more people for years to come.

As wildlife encounters go, almost nothing beats the spine-tingling experience of being in the company of our closest primate relatives. I'm joining forces with fellow primate, Africa guide & wildlife photographer @pj_hicks and @naturalhightravel to host a very special, small group trip to #uganda next May. We will have the chance of unforgettable wildlife encounters with chimpanzees & gorillas, & so much more - including the country's famous tree-climbing lions.
